Fill in the blanks:
1.     And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them harshly, they say words of peace
2.     O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear his order.
3.     He used to keep himself busy in serving his family, and when it was time for the prayer he would go out for prayer.

Q1: Who is our role model in humbleness? How was his humbleness? 
The Messenger of Allah ( SWA) is our role model for humbleness. He did not distinguish himself from others in terms of food, drink, clothes or place of sitting; he sat on the ground, ate dates and barley bread and sat with the poor and the needy.
Q2. Write one Hadeeth that show humbleness of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)?
Aysha (R.A) was asked: What did the Prophet (SAW) use to do at home. She replied: He used to keep himself busy serving his family, and when it was time for the prayer, he would go out for prayer.  ( Narrated by Al-Bukhari) 
Q3. Write story of Abu Bakr( R.A) regarding humbleness?
Abu Bakr (R.A), first Caliph after the Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to milk the sheep of his neighbours before he became Caliph. When he became Caliph, a girl from the neigbours said: He will not milk the sheep now. When Abu Bakr heard this comment, he said: I will do it, and I hope my new position will not change me.

Q4. Write one Hadeeth regarding the benefits of humbleness?
The Prophet (SWA) said: Anyone who  displays humbleness towards another seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah exalts him in ranks. (Narrated by Muslim)
Q5. What are the means that help humbleness?
a)     Believe that pride is an attribute of Allah.
b)    Fear Allah in terms arrogance and boasting
c)     Remind oneself that his wealth, knowledge and social status are gifts from Allah who must be thanked  for it,  if it is to last.
d)    Study the biography of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), his companions and other righteous people.
e)     Be keen on socializing with people and respecting them.
Q6. What is said by Nahyan Al Sultan bin Zayed regarding Humbleness?
My most important advice to my sons is to avoid arrogance. I believe that man’s high status will not diminish if he shows humbleness and respect of others more than they show him.

Q7. Define Humbleness?

Humbleness means not being arrogant with people or boasting ones wealth or social or academic status before them and dealing and cooperating with them respectfully despite being of a higher social or academic status.

v  Highlight aspects of love and mercifulness in the way the Messenger, Peace be upon him, treated his wives.
1.Write down two Hadiths on the care of family?
قال رسول الله ﷺأكمل المؤمنين إيماناً أحسنهم خلقاً، وخياركم خياركم لنسائهم(ترمذي)
''Among Muslims, the most perfect, concerning his faith, is the one whose character is excellent, and the best among you are those who treat their wives well.
قَالَ النبيّ(ص): «خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ، وَأَنَا خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِي(ترمذي)
"The best of you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family
2.what is the inter-relation between perfect faith and good treatment of women?
Ans: The perfection of faith leads to the highest degree of good character as the prophet did with his wives.
3. What are the most important secrets of successful family relationships?
Ans:1.Humbleness of men towards family members, 2.Equality to all wives, 3.Assist in the every household chores, 4.Positively think of that household assistance results in perfection of mind and completeness of qualities instead of undermining of manliness. 5.Create the space for entertainment like travelling and amusing activities.

4.What are the constituents of building a family?
Ans:1.Teaching of religious matters like Quran and Hadith.
2.Mutual Respect among the family members.
3.Wisdom behind managing the marital issues.

5.The best of  you is he  who  is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family’-Find evidence of the altruism of the Prophet(S)in the Hadith?
Ans:" He kept himself busy serving his     family" (Narrated by Al-Bukhari). She elaborated saying , " He fed draft animals, swept the house , secured the c amel,  ate  and  ground the flour with the housemaid, carried  supplies  from  the  market  to  the  house, sewed his garments, mended his sandals and did what men used to do in their houses ".
6.Explain the fact that the Prophet, Peace be upon him, was keen on building the Muslim family in a correct way?
Ans: As the opinion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), society is a big house for all Muslims. This house must be tightly built; therefore, the Prophet, Peace be upon him, paid great attention to structuring the basic building block of society- the family.

v  Show aspects of tolerance between people in life.

v Infer the importance of tolerance to individuals and society. 
v Support positions of tolerance and oppose positions of intransigence.




1.Define the concept of tolerance in Islam  and its related utterances in Quran ?

Ans:Islam urges Muslims to exercise the tolerance of people in every walks of life in order to find a cohesive and connected society. It is leniency, peace and mercy. It also means rejecting violence, showing kindness in dealing with others, accepting the way they differ from us and not compelling them to do something.


a)Mercy                                             فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِك

It is part of the Mercy of Allah that you do deal gently with  them; had  you  been  severe or harsh heart,  they would have broken away from you.

b)Forgiveness
خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِين

Show forgiveness, enjoin Al-'Urf (the good), and turn away from the fools

c)Kind dialogue and disputation
وَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَن

''And disputeyenotwiththePeopleoftheBook,exceptwithmeansbetter(thanmere disputation).

d)Doing good to others
 وَأَحْسِن كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ

But do good, as Allah has been good to you

2.How does the Prophet’s life reflect as an example in tolerance?
Ans:The Prophet(sw) was tolerant to Muslims and non-Muslims .Sayyidah Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "He was not indecent, he was not obscene, he would  not  shout in the  markets,  and he would not respond to an evil deed with an evil deed, but rather he would pardon and overlook.

3. What is meant by 'Charter of Medina'?
Ans:It was the first constitution to organize the relations between the emigrants (Muhajirin)and the residents of Medina of Ansar and non-Muslims to enhance the protection of individual rights and to lay the foundations of the principles of tolerance and justice for all the inhabitants of Medina.

4.What are the methods to enhance tolerance?
Ans:1).Combating evil-inspiring       inclinations by avoiding rashness and suppressing fury.  2).Keeping good company 3).Reminding oneself of the proverbial wisdom "As you sow, so shall you reap"   4.) Consistency in obeying Allah, Glory be to Him, inspires tolerance towards all people.  5)A person shall think of his origin is from dust ,return to dust and resurrection from the dust.  6)Man should study the biography of the Messenger, Peace be upon him.

5.How does the tolerance effect on a tolerant ?
Ans: It purifies the human soul of hatred and envy and combines the hearts of people in love. A tolerant person is loved by people ,they feel affinity towards him and solidarity among members of society and security and peace spread in communities.

Grade 10 Notes, Jihad in the Cause of Allah

1.Define  the following concepts

a)Jihad: The general meaning is exerting efforts to release as much energy as tolerable in good deeds and legitimate fields. The special meaning is ' fighting ' in the cause of Allah under the banner of the ruler.

b)guardian(وليّ الامر:Governor or  Ruler

c)Jihad against the soul and devil: Devil’s means of tempting man is desire and lust and both lie in the recesses of the human soul. The devil stirs innate desires in man and man responds to a pressing need and falls into the snare of lusts. Taking the  right  path  and  committing oneself firmly to the truth It is severed by satan



قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ(حجر

39)

Iblis) said: "O my Lord! BecauseYou have put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the  wrong.

     a) What does the devil tempt people with?

Ans:Things they covet(الشهوات)


"Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet

     b)How to overcome these temptations?

Ans: It requires a  firm-footed  resolve and a sustainable effort to refrain from committing sins.

C)what is the major(big)sin?

Big sin is guilt by which doer will meet with punishment by Allah.

  There is no minor sin if one persists in it, and there is no major sin if it is followed by prayer for forgiveness.

d)what is meant by Forgiveness?

Confession of guilt and remorse and resort to God and unification(oneness)

e)The effect of this statement on Jihad against the soul and the devil

it is helpful to get rid off frustration and to create hopefulness in the mind , inspiration for repentance and resistance to devil’s snares.

                                  







e)what are the devil’s snares?

1.Whispering evil, 2.Spreading enimity and hatred, 3.Hindering people from embracing religion, 4.Self-destruction, 5.Destruction of morality,



f)Methods of Jihad against soul and evil?

1. Turning acts of devotion into a ceaseless task,

2. Seeking refuge(العيادة من الشيطان),

3.Patience and supplication(الصبروالدعاء)

4. ​Keep up with ablution always​

6. Sinful desires should be controlled by faith in Allah​

7. conquer evil inclinations within himself .​

8. purify the soul involves struggling against greed for worldly pleasures, hypocrisy and insincerity, hatred and envy, arrogance and pride.

3.Comment on the following

Jihad against hypocrites and infidels:

This Jihad is based on dialogue employing evidence, the ability to convince others, informing others of da'wa and answering questions put by people with knowledge, technical talk and  capability through civilized dialogue, avoidance of  coercion and fanaticism.جادلهم بالتي هي احسن(النحل   25)

" argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious"

The messenger" By Allah, if a single person is guided by Allah through you, it will be better for you than a whole lot of red camels"

The hypocrites lived in Madinah and the  Prophet,  Peace  be  upon him,did not kill a single  one  of  them. He even  did  not  mention  their names in public; but disclosed them to the keeper of his secrets, Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, May Allah be pleased with him. Hudhayfah did not tell any one about this even after the death of our Master Muhammad, Peace be upon him, to preserve social peace and public  interest. The Messenger Peace be upon him, gave priority to saving lives and guiding people to success, and this is goodness in its purest form, which is more lovable to Allah, Glory be to Him, and deserves the best reward.

   The Prophet(Peace and blessings upon him) said: "Who ever guides someone to goodness will have a similar reward "This Jihad is based on dialogue employing evidence, the ability to convince others. This is to release one’s effort in calling infidels to right path and correcting hypocrites via positive talks and dialogues using wisdom.



4.Modern methods of demonstrating of truth in Islam

     Dialogue employing scientific and logical proofs.

     Responding to suspicions and demonstrating their falsity via decisive arguments.

     Explaining the truth of Islam, and gleaning ambiguities surrounding this truth to negate misunderstanding on the part of researchers, students and the like.

     Revealing the falsity of allegations intended to spoil the image of Islam and demonstrating the hazards of these negations to Muslims.

     Presentation of histories on truthfulness with good preaching, logic and right argument

Explain:   “Allah, Glory be to Him, has not obligated us to strip ourselves of fantasies ; but to rein fantasies and keep them in check”

Understood from this: Allah will hold us accountable for what we do and choose, not for that is beyond of our control.

Relation to Reality: Mercy and neutrality of Islam

Justification/reason: Fantasy is natural but doer with intention will be punished

Back up your view with evidence: God doesn’t burden any soul beyond its scope
